Situated near Cruz Bay - 6 minutes away -  our affordable three bedroom West Indian beach house has stone walls, arched windows, blue and white clapboard, and gingerbread detailing.  The house is surrounded by native tropical plantings.

Watch the sunrise over Ditliff Point on one of the three decks or read a book in the airy living room or in the hide-away. 

The house is very private - no houses on either side - with a long, meandering stone pathway leading down to the home and a private path leading to Hart Bay Beach.

 


Folding French doors open on the front of the house to a panorama of sights and sounds of the sea.

Prepare meals on the outdoor grill or in the well appointed kitchen, with stoneware made by local potters and craftsmen. Dine on the deck or indoors and enjoy the sea breezes.

The private lower level offers two bedrooms (one is a suite) with queen size beds, air conditioning, full bathrooms and spacious decks. A sofa bed in the living room and two roll-away beds accommodate additional guests. Two stairways run along side of the house to each level.

Linens, towels, beach chairs, coolers, a gas grill, cable TV, VCR, CD/tape deck, WiFi, and washer/dryer.

Private Pool and Jacuzzi

Harmonious with the outdoors and nearly surrounded by the sea, the beach house features a pool and Jacuzzi overlooking the ocean for a fresh water dip day or night and with privacy.

A private path leads to Hart Bay Beach, where you will usually be alone on the beach since there is no road access. 

Gentle off-shore waves, coral, and a reef encompass the bay. A beachcomber's dream: go shelling, hike the nearby trail or snorkel among exotic coral and tropical fish, all just at the end of the villa’s private path directly to the water.

Facing east into the Tradewinds, savor the sound of the surf and delightful Caribbean breeze year round.  The tropical garden is alive with blooming frangipani, bougainvillea, and native trees including many water mampoo, a calabash tree, fruit trees and giant cacti encircling the property.

Island Amenities and Activities

St John is an island of less than 5000 permanent residents, that maintains a village-like ambiance. The Virgin Islands National Park covering almost two-thirds of St. John preserves and protects its natural beauty with many beautiful white-sand beaches, grand views and hiking trails.

Tennis, sailing, power boating, sea kayaking, scuba diving and excellent snorkeling are all nearby. A six minute drive takes you to Cruz Bay, where you can meander the streets for excellent shopping, full service grocery stores, fine dining, and local flavor.

St. John’s location makes island hopping easy. Ferries run frequently to St. Thomas and to the British Islands of Tortola, Virgin Gorda and Jost Van Dyke.

Fly into St. Thomas and take a taxi van to the St. Thomas ferry for the 20 minute ferry ride that begins your relaxation before your arrival in Cruz Bay, St. John. You will be greeted at the Cruz Bay ferry dock by our friendly and knowledgeable manager who will then escort you to the house and will be on call during your stay.
